Monaghan Integrated Development runs a range of programmes designed to tackle social and economic exclusion and promote equality for people living in County Monaghan. The chart below outlines the key programmes delivered by Monaghan Integrated Development.

Local Community and Development Programme
(LCDP)
The LCDP is the core programme of Monaghan Integrated Development. Its aim is to tackle poverty and social exclusion through partnership and constructive engagement between Government and its’ agencies and people in disadvantaged communities. Through LCDP the company accesses other important sources of funding to target social, personal, community and economic development. The result is a wide range of programmes which work to make a positive and lasting difference in people’s lives.
The LCDP is underpinned by four high-level goals which are to:

Increase access to formal and informal educational, recreational and cultural activities and resources

Increase people’s work readiness and employment prospects

Promote active engagement with policy, practice and decision making processes on matters affecting local communities

Promote awareness, knowledge and uptake of a wide range of statutory, voluntary and community services
